CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team lost a heart breaker to the Toledo Rockets on Friday at Western Tennis and Fitness Club. The match was highlighted by three different singles matches that all went the distance to a third set, including one that was determined by a tie breaker.

Ioana Guna and Caroline Morton once again jumped out with the early victory for the Bearcats, their second straight doubles victory. Toledo rallied to take the doubles point behind strong play on courts two and three.

Antonella Bramato jumped out to a quick victory on the back courts, evening the match score at 1-1. She extends her singles win streak to four matches. Toledo took back the lead with a victory on court no. 3, but Anna Philp, extending her win streak to five matches, and Ioana Guna notched wins on courts 6 and 1 to give the Bearcats a 3-2 lead.
The Bearcats fought to the very end as the match was decided on the final court in play, unfortunately they came up just short.
