// LOOKING BACK
The Bearcats had a tough outing the last time they hit the courts. The trip to Philadelphia wasn't all sunshine and cheesesteaks as the team found themselves in another match that came down to the final court in play against Temple.
After the Bearcats earned the doubles victory over the Owls, Temple rallied to take three straight points in singles. The Bearcats, again showing they wouldn't fold easily, fought back to win two points, tying the match at 3-3. Unfortunately, the team fell just short in a heart breaking third set at the final court in play.
This was the third straight match that came down to a one-point decision.
// SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats continue to be led in singles by Antonella Bramato. She currently holds a six-match win streak in singles play. While they both suffered defeat in the last outing, Caroline Morton and Anna Philp round out the elder group of Bearcats in singles action.
In doubles, Caroline Morton and Ioana Guna currently hold a three-match win streak. Also bouncing back for strong showings in the last match were Ali Miller and Bramato as they got back in the win column with 6-2 decision.
// SCOUTING THE THUNDERING HERD
The Thundering Herd said ready and waiting to stampede out the gate to start the season but have been wrangled down through most of it. Leading the charge in singles for the Thundering Herd are seniors Stephanie Smith and Maddie Silver.
Marshall is 0-10 on the year.
// SCOUTING THE RAMS
The Rams have their horns sharpened and their eyes set on another successful season. They currently hold a six-match win streak, including wins over Maryland, West Virginia and Pittsburgh. VCU is led in singles by junior Anna Rasmussen who has not lost since the Rams Jan. 14 match against Florida Atlantic.
