FINAL RESULTS
University of Cincinnati freshman Nicolas Osterburg (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian High School) and junior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle High School) each tied for 21st place, leading the Bearcats to finish 10th Tuesday at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Club in Greensboro, Ga.
Osterburg climbed nine slots Tuesday, managing an even par 72 to complete the three-round event at 1-over 69-76-72=217. He shot 2-under on his final eight holes while posting four birdies, an eagle and eight par scores on the day.
Squires slipped 12 places on the leaderboard from Monday after five bogies on the back forced him to settle for a 4-over 76. He finished the 90-player event at 1-over 73-68-76=217.
Alabama's Lee Hodges claimed medalist honors with a 14-under 67-68-67=202.
As a team, the Bearcats slipped one spot to finish 10th at 13-over 287-291-299=877. Alabama (24-under 277-282-281=840) rallied past Georgia (22-under 272-286-284=842) for the team crown.
UC sophomore Jake Fox (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller High School) and senior Davis Baxter (Nolensville, Tenn./Ravenwood High School) each tied for 48th place. Fox shot even par on the back nine to register a 2-over 72 Tuesday, finishing 7-over 76-73-74=223. After starting 4-over, Davis posted par scores on 10 of the last 11 holes to record a third-round 5-over 77. He completed the event at 7-over 72-74-77=223.
UC redshirt freshman Andy Mayhew tied for 60th place at 10-over 73-76-77=226.

"We struggled with all parts of the game today and didn't handle the swirling winds over the last nine holes very well. On a positive note, we did beat three teams ranked in the Top 80. Now we have a nice two-week break to get ready for our next event in Nashville."
