CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team returns to the courts as they get set to celebrate Senior Day against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Friday, March 23. Due to weather, the match, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., was moved to Western Tennis and Fitness Club. Following the conclusion of the match, the team will celebrate Senior Ali Miller and her contributions to the program.

// LOOKING BACK
The Bearcats traveled down to Tampa, Fla., and split a pair of matches with UTEP and USF. On Tuesday, March 13, the team squared off with UTEP and came away with a 6-1 victory. They returned to the court the next day to face USF, unfortunately falling 5-2.

// SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats are looking to bounce back from the tough match against USF. Ioana Guna currently leads the team with a two-match win streak in singles and Caroline Morton will look to build on her win against USF.

// SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
The Hilltoppers, a nickname derived from the location of their campus, hit a few bumps in the road to begin their season. After suffering losses to Alabama and Louisville, they have since climbed their way back up through their schedule, knocking each opponent out of the way. In singles action, Moka Ito and Cindy Oest each hold three game win streaks. Oest also holds a three-match win streak in doubles, combining with Violetta Shatalov for one victory and Natalia De Ugarte for the other two.

The Hilltoppers are 7-3 on the season and share four common opponents with the Bearcats. Both teams were victorious over EKU, Lipscomb and UTEP, while falling to Indiana.
