American Athletic Conference play begins this weekend as the University of Cincinnati baseball team heads to Tulane for a three-game series. The first game is set for Friday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. Saturday's game time has been moved up to a 2 p.m. start. The finale will take place on Sunday at noon.

// SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Tulane is 9-13 on the season and coming off a Wednesday night 10-4 loss at No. 15 LSU
• Last weekend the Green Wave traveled out West for a three-game series with Long Beach State. They lost 13-2 in the first game, took the second back 10-6 on Saturday then lost the finale 1-0 on Sunday
• Cincinnati is 10-41 all-time against Tulane
• Last season the Green Wave won the series played in Cincinnati. The Bearcats lost game one 16-8, game two 6-2 then rebounded to take the finale by a score of 11-1 in seven innings
• Tulane finished just above Cincinnati in last year's final American Athletic Conference standings. The Green Wave went 13-11 in conference and 27-31 overall while the Bearcats finished 10-14 in AAC play and 28-30 overall

• The Bearcats are one of 15 teams across the nation that have nine or more players with at least one homerun on the season
• Arkansas, Florida Atlantic, South Carolina and Davidson lead with 11 players each with a homerun
