NEW ORLEANS – University of Cincinnati baseball edged out Tulane 1-0 on Sunday afternoon as a trio of Bearcats shutout the Green Wave, led by a career performance from starter Cam Alldred.

Alldred struck out a personal best nine batters in 7.0 innings of work. He allowed only two free bases on a hit batter and a walk and gave up just two hits. The bullpen kept the theme of the day going behind him. A.J. Kullman pitched a scoreless eighth with no hits. Jarod Yoakam earned the save by throwing a scoreless ninth, only allowing one hit.

The sole run of the contest came in the very first inning. Kyle Mottice led off the game with a walk on a ten-pitch at-bat. Manny Rodriguez then hit him home with a double.
