// BORZILLO BREAKING RECORDS
Borzillo scored the Bearcats first four goals of the game and finished with five in the first half. She added three more in the second to break Laura Simanski's school-record mark of seven goals in a game, set on April 30, 2010 at Villanova. Borzillo's eight goals were the most in a single game for a BIG EAST Conference player since Grace Nolan from UConn tallied nine goals against Fairfield on March 19, 2016. Borzillo added a pair of assists to tie her own school record of 10 points in a game, set at Butler on April 1, 2017. She scored eight goals on 10 shots and had a season-high nine shots on goal. The sophomore has tallied 22 goals and 10 assists in five games.

// OFF TO THE BEST START
In their 11th varsity season, the Bearcats are now off to a 4-1 start, which ties the program record for the best start. The last time UC had a 4-1 start to their season came in 2009 when the Bearcats also won four of their first five games.

// HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 1-0, Borzillo opened the scoring for UC with her 15th goal of the season. She came around the corner and fired a shot past the CMU keeper from the top of the 8-meter. She added three straight goals before CMU found the net again to make things 3-2. Borzillo added her fourth goal with 12:31 left in the game and then Maria Collacchi found the net twice off of two feeds from Borzillo and the Bearcats led 6-2. Borzillo added a free position shot with 4:58 remaining, CMU scored with 1:29 to go which made the halftime score 7-3 in favor of UC. Sam Mlkvy put UC up 9-3 just 53 seconds into the second half and UC was off and running from there as Borzillo scored the next three ahead of goals by Amanda Donovan, Kate Carney and Jennie Finotti's first career goal, which gave the Bearcats an eventual 14-6 victory.
