The Bearcats will face No. 1 seed UConn at 7:00 p.m. ET on Monday, March 5.
Cincinnati put four players in double-figure scoring, as senior forward Shanice Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara/Monroe CC) led the way with 17 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore forward Angel Rizor (Zebulon, N.C./East Wake) had 15 points, while junior guard Nikira Goings (Marietta, Ga./Osborne) and freshman forward IImar'I Thomas (Oakland, Calif./Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep) each chipped in with 10 points. Tulsa shot 46 percent from the field and was led by Shug Dickson with 17 points and nine rebounds.
The Bearcats opened their American Championship action with a 6-0 run, but Tulsa battled back with a 14-6 spurt to take a two-point lead (14-12) in the first quarter. Cincinnati's Goings hit a jump shot to tie the game with 53 seconds left before the first buzzer, but Tulsa scored the final four points of the opening frame, including a buzzer-beater layup by Erika Wakefield, to lead 18-14 at the end of one.

The Golden Hurricane shot 69.2 percent in the third quarter to take a 50-46 lead into the fourth quarter after Cincinnati's freshman guard Sam Rodgers (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East) hit a 3-pointer in the final 34 seconds to trim the deficit to four points.
