BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Cincinnati baseball team posted a big 8-3 victory on Tuesday on the road at No. 12 Indiana.
 
The Bearcats were relentless; they got a hit in every inning while all nine batters in the starting lineup earned at least one hit in the game.
 
// NOTABLES
A.J. Kullman had an excellent start on the mound against a tough offense. He went 5.0 innings with just two hits, no earned runs, two walks and five strikeouts. His walks did not come until the sixth inning and he did not give up a hit until the fourth
Jarod Yoakam went 1.2 scoreless innings in relief after Doug Lowe II came in and got out his batter
David Orndorff shut the door with a perfect ninth, striking out the side to clinch the victory
Treg Haberkorn had three hits on the day with a double and two RBI
Connor McVey, Manny Rodriguez, Cole Murphy and Joey Thomas all had two hits each. Murphy and McVey both had homeruns while both of Rodriguez's hits were doubles
 
// KEY INNINGS
Top of the 1st

• McVey got things going quickly with a solo homerun to left field in the second at-bat of the day
Top of the 2nd
• Two more runs came home in the second frame. Eric Santiago walked and Thomas hit a base hit to put two on. With two outs, Treg Haberkorn earned two RBI with a double to left field
Bottom of the 4th
• An error to start the bottom of the fourth allowed the Hoosiers to get on the board. After the mistake, Indiana singled and scored a runner on a fielder's choice
Top of the 5th
• A two-out rally added another Bearcats tally. Joey Wiemer, Murphy and Santiago all singled to result in a run scored
Top of the 6th
• UC continued to add on to its lead in the next inning. A.J. Bumpass was hit by a pitch to leadoff and scored later on after back-to-back base hits by Kyle Mottice and McVey
Top of the 7th
• Murphy blasted a no-doubt homerun out to right field to extend the Bearcats' lead to 6-1
Top of the 8th
• UC kept up its pace with two runs in the eighth. Haberkorn started it off with a single to left field. Mottice walked then stole second base later on. A Rodriguez double to right center scored Haberkorn. Mottice scored on a Joey Wiemer sacrifice fly
Bottom of the 8th
• The biggest threat from the Hoosiers came late in the game when they were able to score two in the eighth frame. Indiana singled, walked and singled for its second run of the game. The Hoosiers' final tally came on two ground outs.
