The American Athletic Conference announced Monday that two members of the University of Cincinnati baseball team earned a spot on the weekly Honor Roll. A.J. Bumpass and Nathan Kroger were both recognized for their performances this past week.

Bumpass hit .400 in four games, including a .500 clip in the conference series sweep against Memphis this past weekend. Half of the junior's hits were for extra-bases as he had a double and two triples – both triples came in Sunday's win. Bumpass had a .917 slugging percentage in the Memphis series and added in three RBI and a stolen base.

Kroger set a new career-high in strikeouts as he led UC to the series-clinching win in Saturday's game against Memphis. The sophomore retired the first ten Tigers of the game and went on to strikeout seven in 7.0 innings of work. Kroger earned his first win of the season as he allowed six hits, one run and two walks and did not give up an extra-base hit in the effort.

The duo are the fifth and sixth UC players to earn a spot on the conference's weekly Honor Roll. Kyle Mottice was honored on March 5, A.J. Kullman on March 12, Cam Alldred on March 26 and Manny Rodriguez last week on April 2.

The Bearcats are back in action in the annual Joe Nuxhall Classic on Tuesday and Wednesday held in Oxford, Ohio. UC will face Wright State then either Miami or Xavier.
