The Cincinnati Bearcats are set to host the crosstown rival Xavier Musketeers this Wednesday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Marge Schott Stadium.
 
// PROMOTIONS
• All UC student-athletes will be participating in ONETeam Night. Multiple honors will be given out throughout the game by Student-Athlete Support Services and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
• A concession special of $2 beer will be available at the game
• It will also be a Flying Pig "20 Days on the Run" tour stop

// SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Cincinnati is 93-54-1 all-time against Xavier
• The teams met three times last season. The Musketeers took the first meeting 9-1 at the Joe Nuxhall Classic hosted by UC. The Bearcats then won at home 10-8 later on. Xavier took the final meeting at home by a score 7-1 later in the season
• Xavier sits at 12-23 this season
• The Bearcats and Musketeers have a few common opponents. XU lost 13-3 at California, swept Miami in a three-game series, beat Wright State 2-0 then fell to both Miami and Wright State in the Joe Nuxhall Classic
• Last weekend, the Musketeers lost the series at Seton Hall, losing 4-3 in Friday, then splitting a double header on Saturday with a 5-3 victory and 9-6 defeat
 
// CONFERENCE REPORT
• UC is one of three teams tied for first in the American Athletic Conference standings
• USF, Houston and Cincinnati are all 7-5, a .583 win percentage
• The Bearcats and Cougars already met this season with UC winning the series. UC and USF will meet in the final weekend of the regular season
• ECU and UConn are next in line at 5-4 (.556)
• Kyle Mottice is eighth in the conference in runs scored and sixth in stolen bases
• Manny Rodriguez is fifth in homeruns, third in doubles, fourth in triples, seventh in RBI, third in total bases and fifth in slugging percentage
• A.J. Bumpass ranks third in the American in triples
• Connor McVey is sixth in stolen bases
• J.T. Perez has the ninth-lowest ERA in the conference and is fourth in innings pitched
• Jarod Yoakam is fourth in wins and seventh in appearances
 
// LOOKING AHEAD
• The Bearcats remain home this weekend for a three-game series with UConn
• To celebrate the last day of classes, the first 100 UC students at the game will get an Under Armour t-shirt
• It's also Pennant Day with the Student Alumni Council. The first 500 fans will receive a pennant courtesy of John morrell
• Saturday is Bark in the Park. All dogs are welcomed in and the first 300 will receive a dog leash presented by John Morrell
• Hot dogs will be on sale for $1 for Bark in the Park on Saturday
• Sunday is another Sunday Fun Day Four Park day. Four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas can be purchased for just $20
• Also on Sunday, t-shirts will be given out to the first 250 fans in attendance
