CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team got on the board early, but did not sustain the momentum and dropped a 20-4 decision to No. 6 Florida, Thursday in BIG EAST Conference action at Gettler Stadium.
The Bearcats (6-8, 0-8 BIG EAST), facing their third nationally-ranked foe in the past five games, dropped their seventh in a row while the Gators (12-3, 7-0), won their fifth-straight game.

Florida showed why they have been ranked among the Top 10 nationally all season, scoring nine goals over nine-plus minutes to lead 9-1 with 16:45 to go.
Gysin scored her 17th of the year moments later on a feed from Borzillo, but UC trailed 14-2 at the break.
Lily Lance added her first-career goal on a free-position shot in the second half and Sam Mlkvy tallied her 24th of the season to close out the scoring for UC.
