CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati baseball battled with No. 24 UConn on Friday night in a classic pitchers' duel with J.T. Perez coming out the victor in a 1-0 contest.
 
Both starters threw complete games but it was Manny Rodriguez's solo homerun in the fourth that would make the difference. Perez recorded a career-high ten strikeouts in the effort while giving up six hits and walking just two.
