CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati baseball battled all night long then posted a four-run eighth inning to take down USF 10-7 on Thursday night.
Every time the Bulls scored, the Bearcats had an answer in a back-and-forth contest. The loudest hit of the night came with bases loaded with two outs in the eighth. Eric Santiago ripped a bases-clearing triple to right center to increase UC's lead from one run to four.

• For the second game in a row, every Bearcats starter had either a hit or a RBI in the game

• UC joined in on the homerun party when Wiemer went deep to left field for a two-run shot and one-run lead. He sent A.J. Bumpass home who had reached earlier on a base hit

• The Bearcats tacked on another run when Rodriguez led off the bottom of the fifth with a solo shot to left field on a full count
Top of the 7th
• USF was able to even things up on a walk, two singles, an error, another walk and a fielder's choice with another error
Bottom of the 7th
• Cincinnati broke the 5-5 tie when Santiago walked, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a base hit by Cole Murphy

• As the game would go, the Bulls tied it up again in the eighth on a solo homerun

• UC was able to put the game away with a four-run frame. Haberkorn was hit by a pitch, DeAnna singled before a single from Mottice scored one. After McVey walked to load the bases, Santiago came to the plate with two outs and tripled to left center field on a full count to open the game up

• Another USF homerun made it a 10-7 game, but Colvin got two quick outs to end the contest
