University of Cincinnati rising senior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle High School) has been named to the PING All-Midwest Region Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. It marks the second consecutive season Squires has claimed the recognition.
Squires posted seven Top 20 finishes in 2017-18, recording a school-record low 71.91 stroke average. He posted par or better scores during 17 of his 32 rounds. He claimed medalist honors at the Firestone Invitational (8-under 208) for the second consecutive year and tied for 13th place at the American Championship (4-over 217).
Squires was tabbed an all-conference team selection by American Athletic Conference coaches in early May.
