WICHITA, Kan. – University of Cincinnati baseball had the force on its side Friday night as a big, five-run fourth inning propelled the team to an 8-2 victory in the series-opener at Wichita State.

Perhaps the biggest moment of the night came from right fielder Jordan Ramey. He sprinted over to the wall and dove over it to make an out in the bottom of the second. The play was so impressive the entire crowd of WSU fans gave him a prolonged ovation.

Treg Haberkorn also made a leaping grab. In the sixth inning Haberkorn raced straight back in center field and dove to save an extra-base hit. Defense was also flashy on the infield as the Bearcats totaled four double-plays on the night. Meanwhile, pitching was superb and every player in the lineup contributed in some way in an impressive team victory.
