CINCINNATI - Jordan Cotleur, a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati women's soccer program, was recently selected as a conference nominee for the 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year Award, the national governing body announced August 16. Cotleur, who played for the Bearcats from 2015-17, is currently working toward her law degree.

Cotleur, along with UConn's Kia Nurse (basketball), was nominated by the American Athletic Conference in July after being one of 581 school nominations from across the nation. With the conference nominations made, Cotleur is now one of 154 women eligible for the honor while also being one of 58 student-athletes selected from an NCAA Division I institution. The remaining 96 nominees came from NCAA Division II (34 student-athletes) and NCAA Division III (62) conferences.

As a conference selection, Cotleur will now await word to see if she is selected to the Top 30, which is comprised of 10 women from each of the three NCAA divisions. With that honor comes an invitation to the annual NCAA Women of the Year banquet that will take place October 28 in Indianapolis where the award recipient will be named.

The NCAA Woman of the Year program has recognized graduating female student-athletes for excellence in academics, athletics, community service and leadership since its inception in 1991.
