CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's golf team competes in the three-day, Louisville Cardinal Challenge beginning Friday at the UofL Golf Club (par 72; 7,101 yards) in Simpsonville, Ky.
Site of an upcoming 2019 NCAA regional, the UofL Golf Club will serve as the backdrop to a talented field of 15 schools, including six programs ranked in the Top 50 of the latest Galfstat.com rankings: No. 17 Duke, No. 20 North Carolina, No. 23 USF, No. 27 Kentucky, No. 28 Wake Forest and No. 48 Louisville. Other competing teams include East Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, Nebraska, Charlotte, Louisiana Lafayette, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana Tech.
Action begins Friday and Saturday at 9 a.m. ET with final-round play Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. Teams will play 18 holes each day. Follow live scoring at Golfstat.com.

Cincinnati began its fall season last weekend, finishing fifth in a competitive 13-team field at the Rod Meyers Invitational hosted by Duke. A trio of Bearcats finished in the Top 25 led by senior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle HS), who tied for third at 5-under 74-68-69=211. Freshman Sam Jean (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove HS) tied for 17th at even par 71-71-74=216 while redshirt-freshman Mason Lenhart (Prospect, Ky./North Oldham HS) finished two strokes back, tying for 23rd place at 2-over 74-73-71=218. Jean and Lenhart were playing in their first collegiate events.
