TicketsCINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics will welcome back the 2008 football team Saturday as the Bearcats take on Ohio at noon ET inside Nippert Stadium.
The 2008 team will lead the Catwalk through the GRID on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m., sign a limited edition 2008 team poster from 10-11 a.m. in the GRID and be recognized on the field between the first and second quarters.
A souvenir cup commemorating the reunion will be on sale at the seven permanent concession stands in Nippert Stadium, not any portable locations.
The 2008 squad went 11-3, at the time setting a school record for victories and won the BIG EAST Conference Championship, UC's first outright league title since 1964. The Bearcats played in the 2009 Orange Bowl, the program's first Bowl Championship Series appearance. UC finished the regular season on a six-game winning streak and for the first time captured all three of its rivalry trophies, the Victory Bell (Miami [OH]), Keg Of Nails (Louisville), and River City Rivalry (Pittsburgh) in the same season.
