CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics is teaming with the College Football Playoff Foundation during Extra Yard for Teachers Week to fund needs at schools across the tri-state.

The fourth-annual Extra Yard For Teachers Week is taking place over an eight-day period from September 15 – 22, as the CFP Foundation partners with universities and conferences to celebrate educators across the country through the Extra Yard for Teachers platform.

The Bearcats are encouraging educators in greater Cincinnati to upload project requests to DonorChoose.org to be considered for funding. UC will join the EYFT Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 22 during the football game against Ohio at Nippert Stadium.

Last season, the Bearcats completed funding at 16 area schools. This year, through additional funding from the American Athletic Conference and CFP Foundation, UC will be able to fund even more projects.

From humble beginnings at a public school in the Bronx in 2000, DonorChoose.org has gone on to impact over 30 million students thanks to three million citizen donors and dozens of corporate and foundation partners.

Today, DonorChoose.org open to every public school in America and 77% of public schools in America have posted at least one project on their site. To ensure integrity, www.DonorChoose.org vet all requests, purchase each item, and ship materials directly to verified schools.
