CINCINNATI – Continuous heavy rain on Monday and the forecast for more Tuesday has caused the cancellation of the 2018 Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club.
The 11-team event began with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., but after an hour and 20 minutes of play, action was stopped because of the heavy rain. Three hours later, the final decision was made to end the tournament.

"As a result of the heavy rain and no sign of clearing, we were forced to cancel the event," UC head coach Doug Martin said. "Tomorrow's forecast doesn't look any better, so we were put in a situation where the only option was to cancel.
"We can't thank the professional staff and management at Coldstream enough for all of their hard work preparing for this tournament. The course was absolutely in perfect condition. It was primed to be a great event but unfortunately you can't control the weather."
