CINCINNATI - Dee Picou, a member of the University of Cincinnati women's soccer program, has been selected to the American Athletic Conference weekly Honor Roll, the league announced today. Picou was selected for her first career weekly award from the conference after netting the game-winning goal in the Bearcats' 2-1, come-from-behind road win at Tulsa Sunday.

// PICOU HONORED
After falling behind, 1-0, at halftime, the Bearcats bounced back in the second half with two goals in a five-minute stretch, including Picou's winner in the 68'. With the scored tied at 1-1, Picou slashed down the left side and received a pass from Delaney Riester at the corner of the box where she ripped a low shot toward the back post and into the right side netting to give UC its first lead of the day.

With her goal, Picou netted her second career score and her second of the season. Her first goal came last week as she tied the match at 1-1 to start UC's 2-1 come-from-behind win over visiting Lipscomb, who held a similar 1-0 lead at intermission. Picou's goal against TU also marked the first game-winning goal of her career and gave the Bearcats its sixth different game-winning goal scorer of 2018.

On the year, Picou has scored two goals and added an assist, bringing her career-high point total to five. She currently ranks tied for second on the team in both goals and points and is one of four players to score multiple goals so far in 2018. She also is one of five Bearcats to have recorded at least one goal and one assist on the year and is the only defender on that list.

// ADDING TO THE HAUL
So far this year, four Bearcats have earned placement on the weekly Honor Roll with Picou's selection giving UC an Honor Roll selection in each of the last three weeks after Kiki Lowell on September 10 and Julia Abbott last week (Sept. 17) with Jill Vetere starting things August 27 with her selection. The newest name to the all-time list, Picou is the 17th different UC player to earn Honor Roll honors with that group collecting 38 total awards. Picou's selection this week also brings UC's total to eight awards earned in 2018 from the AAC, a list that includes four players of the week, including Vetere (Sept. 17) for offensive, Claudia Eustaquio (Sept. 10) and Madison Less (Sept. 17) for goalkeeper and Brandi Thomsen (Aug. 20) for rookie honors.
