University of Cincinnati men's basketball head coach Mick Cronin spoke with local media Thursday prior to the Bearcats' first official preseason practice of the 2018-19 campaign.
Cincinnati is coming off a standout 2017-18 campaign that saw the Bearcats claim the American Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships while tying the school record for wins, posting a 31-5 overall mark and advancing to the NCAA tournament for an eighth consecutive season.
The 2018-19 Bearcats are led by junior guard Jarron Cumberland (11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds in 2017-18) and senior guards Cane Broome (7.9 points, 2.8 assists) and Justin Jenifer (4.8 points, 2.5 assists).
UC returns to newly renovated Fifth Third Arena in November. The Bearcats will play host to Tusculum in a preseason exhibition game on Nov. 1 followed by the 2018-19 regular-season opener against Ohio State on Nov. 7.
// SECURE YOUR SEASON TICKETS TODAY
Fans can purchase their 2018-19 men's basketball tickets by logging on to GoBearcats.com/tickets, by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or by visiting the Athletics Ticket Office on the fourth floor of the Richard E. Lindner Center, week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
An estimated 97 percent of available season tickets for the arena's 12,012 seats have been sold for the coming 2018-19 campaign leaving less than 400 remaining tickets and only two of 12 price points.
With such high demand, purchasing season tickets will be the only way fans can guarantee their seats for Bearcats' home games against both Ohio State and Xavier (Saturday, Dec. 8). Those opponents will not be included together in future potential mini plans. Possible mini plans and single-game ticket sales will be announced at a later date.
