University of Cincinnati hits the road to take on Temple and UConn this weekend. The Bearcats visit the Owls on Friday night at 7 p.m. and the Huskies on Sunday at noon.

// HARD HITTERS
• Cincinnati currently sits 15th in the nation in hitting percentage with a rate of .275 on the season
• That mark leads the conference with UCF coming in second with a season attack percentage of .256
• Jordan Thompson continues to lead the country in kills, points, kills per set and points per set
• As a team, the Bearcats rank 32nd in the nation in total kills and 41st in total service aces
• Five UC players have hit .525 or better in match with 12 or more kills as Thompson has done it three times and Maria Mallon accomplished the feat in both matches this past weekend

• After two weeks of conference play, UC, UCF and Tulsa all remain undefeated against AAC foes at 3-0
• USF, ECU, UConn and Wichita State are all tied at 2-1
• SMU is an even 2-2 in the conference season

Temple is 4-11 overall on the season and 1-2 in conference. The Owls started their season with a 3-1 win over Rhode Island. They also defeated New Hampshire and Princeton at home. Temple opened AAC action with a 3-2 win at Houston then dropped a three-set match at SMU and a four-set match last weekend at UConn
// SERIES HISTORY: BEARCATS vs. OWLS
Cincinnati is 6-9 all-time against Temple. Last season, the teams met just once, also in Philadelphia. The Owls won that matchup 3-1. In 2016, the Bearcats were swept at home before taking a 3-2 contest on the road later on in the season. The first meeting between the two teams came in 1982. UC won two contests, 2-1 and 3-0
// KNOW THE FOE: UCONN
UConn is 10-6 on the season and 2-1 in the AAC. In conference games, the Huskies lost 3-1 at SMU, then beat Houston 3-1 and then beat Temple 3-1 at home.

Cincinnati is 13-6 all-time against UConn. Last season, the Bearcats traveled to Storrs and won 3-1. UC won both meetings in 2016, 3-2 at home and 3-0 on the road.
