TicketsThe American Athletic Conference announced its first weekly awards of the season with University of Cincinnati's divers taking both honors. Claire Schuermann was named Female Diver of the Week and Louis Hunt was named Male Diver of the Week.
Schuermann posted two NCAA Zone scores while winning both events at the dual meet against Indianapolis. Her efforts helped the Bearcats win by a large margin, 245-55, to start the season. Schuermann scored a 295.50 on 1-meter and 289.50 on 3-meter.
Hunt helped UC earn a season-opening win as the men also beat Indianapolis to sweep the meet. He posted the highest scores of any AAC divers with a 246.45 on 1-meter and 262.30 on 3-meter. Hunt finished fourth in both of those events.
