Women's Tennis set for ITA Regional Competition

The Bearcats will travel to Chattanooga, TN for the Ohio Valley ITA Regionals from October 11 to October 15.

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team will travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the Ohio Valley ITA Regionals. Competition will begin on October 11 and run through October 15.

// LOOKING BACK
The Bearcats took part in the Hoosier Classic, competing against teams from around the Midwest region. Among the top performers for the team were Alexia Coutino, Ioana Guna, Carolina Mortion, Anna Philp, Maria Teixido Garcia and Maria Santilli who all posted 2-1 records in singles play. As a team, the Bearcats won 14 of their total 26 singles matches during the weekend.
 
The duo of Emma Miceli and Morton led the team with a 3-1 record for the weekend in doubles action. Bramato/Coutino, Guna/Philp and Amanda Huser/Santilli all posted 2-2 records. As a team, the Bearcats won 11 of their total 19 doubles matches during the weekend.

// ITA OHIO VALLEY REGIONAL
The Bearcats will face strong competition from around the Ohio Valley region as 22 teams are set to compete. The schools represented include Austin Peay, Ball State, Belmont, Butler, Chattanooga, East Tennessee State University, Indiana, IUPUI, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Louisville, Memphis, Miami (OH), MTSU, Northern Kentucky, Purdue, Tennessee, UT-Martin, Vanderbilt, Wright State and Xavier.
 
Bramato, Coutino, Guna, Miceli, Morton and Santilli are all slated to represent the Bearcats.
