University of Cincinnati swimming and diving will look to build off a successful season-opening sweep as the team travels for the Akron Zips Classic on October 12-13. The Bearcats will compete against the host Zips as well as Cleveland State, Denison, Miami (OH) and Xavier.

Entering the weekend, UC's men rank 25th on collegeswimming.com while the women rank 26th
• Individually, Din Selmanovic has the 25th fastest time in the country in the 500 free
Toby Van Dyke's 9:20.06 is 13th in the nation
 
// LAST TIME OUT
• The Bearcats began the season with a sweep of Indianapolis at home at the Keating Aquatic Center
• The women won 245-55 and the men won 166.33-133.66
• UC swept 11 events on the night en route to the dual victories
• Divers Claire Schuermann and Louis Hunt were named Divers of the Week by the American Athletic Conference for their performances. Schuermann scored two NCAA Zone qualifiers as she won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events
