University of Cincinnati volleyball remains on the road this weekend for two big matches. UC will play at Tulsa on Friday at 2 p.m. ET then travel to Wichita State for a 2 p.m. ET match on Sunday.

// MILESTONES
• The Bearcats achieved a few notable milestones during last weekend's roadtrip
• On Friday at Temple, Abby Williams recorded her 1,500th career dig. After achieving that, she finished with a season-high 23 digs at UConn
• Williams sits in third place in the UC record book with 1,527 career digs. She needs 80 more to move up into second place
Jordan Thompson has been the nation's leader in kills, points, kills per set and points per set nearly the entire season, and now she has claimed a new accolade
• On Sunday at UConn, Thompson became the American Athletic Conference's all-time leader in kills and points with 1,470 and 1,616, respectively
• Thompson ranks fifth in the UC record books in career kills and is only in her third season of competition
• Head Coach Molly Alvey notched her 100th career win as the leader of the Bearcats on Sunday. With two more victories she will become second all-time in wins as a head coach of the UC volleyball program
 
// CONFERENCE REPORT
• This weekend's matches feature some of the top teams in the conference
• UC and UCF remain the only unbeaten teams in AAC play as both are 5-0. The Bearcats have only dropped one set in the five matches
• ECU and Tulsa are close behind in a tie for third at 4-1
• Wichita State and SMU are both 3-2
• USF and UConn are tied for seventh at 2-3
• Tulane and Temple follow at 1-4
• Houston and Memphis are still looking for their first AAC victory of the season
• While the Bearcats visit Tulsa and Wichita State, UCF hosts Temple and UConn this weekend
 
// KNOW THE FOE: TULSA
Tulsa is 12-5 overall and 4-1 in AAC action. In their last three matches, the Hurricane beat Wichita State in five at home, lost to UCF 3-1 on the road and then recorded a 3-1 victory against USF. Tulsa is 11th in the nation in digs per set led by Taylor Horsfall who ranked seventh in the same category individually.
 
// SERIES HISTORY: BEARCATS vs. HURRICANE
Cincinnati is 6-3 all-time against Tulsa. Last season, the Bearcats dropped a 3-1 match at home then fell 3-0 at Tulsa. The teams split in 2016 with UC winning 3-1 on the road and losing 3-1 at home. The Bearcats swept the two meetings with the Hurricane in 2015, winning both in five sets. The teams' first meeting was in 2005 at a neutral site. Tulsa won that match 3-1
 
// KNOW THE FOE: WICHITA STATE
Wichita State is an even 8-8 on the season and 3-2 in conference. The Shockers posted a monster year last year, their first in the AAC, when they went unbeaten in the American for the championship and a NCAA berth. Wichita State lost a highly-contested match against Tulsa, 3-2. Last weekend the Shockers traveled and beat USF 3-1 and lost to UCF by the same score.
 
// SERIES HISTORY: BEARCATS vs. SHOCKERS
Cincinnati is 1-2 against Wichita State with all three meetings coming in the last two seasons. The nationally-ranked Shockers took both last year, taking all six sets played. In the first meeting in 2016, the Bearcats traveled to Wichita State and won 3-1.

• UC takes a quick break from conference play for a match at Dayton on Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m.
• The Bearcats return home to play their final home games at St. Ursula Academy next weekend
