The 2018-19 swimming and diving season begins this Friday as the University of Cincinnati hosts Indianapolis in a dual meet at home at Keating Aquatic Center. Diving begins at 3 p.m. with swimming following at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

// ALUMNI WEEKEND
• The weekend is full of events for swimming and diving's alumni weekend centered around UC's homecoming
• After the meet on Friday, there will be a C-Club social at Ladder 19 on Short Vine for all former letterwinners
• The Fourth Annual Nate Kramer Memorial Pentathlon will take place Saturday morning. Check-in is at 9 a.m. with the event starting at 9:30
• UC football kicks off Saturday at noon against Tulane
// SCOUTING REPORT
• Last season also began with a dual meet against Indianapolis where the Bearcats swept on the road. The men won 188-111 and the women won 215-85
• UC took all three podium spots in the women's 1000 free, men's 1000 free, women's 200 back, women's 200 IM, men's 200 free, men's 200 butterfly, men's 100 free, men's 200 IM, women's 3-meter diving, men's 1-meter diving and men's 3-meter diving
// LOTS TO BUILD ON
• Last season, the men's program won the first American Athletic Conference swim and dive title in UC history while the women finished runner-up in one of the best championship events in program history
• Mandy Commons-Disalle was named Men's Swimming Coach of the Year, Kirtley Krombholz was named Women's Diving Coach of the Year and Claire Schuermann was the Women's Diver of the Year
• Numerous Bearcats who were named to the All-AAC team for earning a spot on the podium last year return this season, including Rocky Laabs, Schuermann, Trisha Roscoe, Maddie Exton, Michaela Wheeler, Abby Johnston, Alex Fortman, Hans Kabelka, Din Selmanovic, Justin Crew, Toby Van Dyke, Dominic Polling and Louis Hunt
