// BEARCATS REWIND
Cincinnati has played solid golf in its two fall tournaments to date, finishing fifth at Duke's Rod Myers Invitational on Sept. 9 and tying for seventh at the Louisville Cardinal Challenge on Sept. 16. That was the last time the Bearcats competed after their own Bearcat Invitational, scheduled for Sept. 24-25 at Coldstream Country Club, was canceled due to continuous heavy rain.

Individually, senior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle HS) leads the Bearcats with a 70.17 stroke average following a pair of Top-15 finishes at Duke (tied for third at 5-under 211) and Louisville (tied for 13th at 3-under 210). Sophomore Nicolas Osterburg (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian HS) posted a team-best result at Louisville, tying for 10th place at 4-under 209 as an individual. Freshmen Mason Lenhart (Prospect, Ky./North Oldham HS) and Sam Jean (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove HS) rank second and third, respectively, on the team for best stroke average. The duo has played in both tournaments to date with Lenhart owning a 72.00 stroke average and Jean posting a 72.83 average.

// QUOTING HEAD COACH DOUG MARTIN
On the team's time off since the Bearcat Invitational was canceled on Sept. 24:
"Last week was a very difficult week of practice for us. It seemed as though the guys were very lethargic and disappointed about not being able to take part in our home tournament because of the rain. Practice has been much better this week with more intensity. Our attention to detail has been great."

On playing on the Intercollegiate at the Grove:
"We're excited to go back to the Grove. We've had some success there but haven't been able to put 54 holes together. That's our goal this week. Everyone making the trip is in a good place and we're very anxious to go compete. The field is remarkable."
