PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference announced Monday afternoon its weekly honors with University of Cincinnati sophomore goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mitchellville, Md./Sacred Heart) picked as Goalkeeper of the Week.
Lawrence earned the honor after totaling a career-high 12 saves Friday at No. 9 UCF. In addition to being a career mark, the 12 saves is the most in a match this season by an AAC goalkeeper. The Bearcats lost the game, 1-0, in their season finale.
On the year, the sophomore totaled 46 saves in 13 matches with a pair of shutouts.
Lawrence's award marks UC's third weekly league recognition this season after Rex Epps (Irmo, S.C./Dutch Fork/Army West Point) was selected as Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 1.
