TicketsThe University of Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson has been named the VolleyMob National Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Thompson put together another huge performance this past weekend to help the Bearcats open Fifth Third Arena with two match sweeps, beating Wichita State and Tulsa. In the six sets, Thompson averaged 8.33 kills per set while hitting .587. She also averaged 2.67 digs per set and had three blocks. The redshirt-junior started the weekend with 24 kills while hitting .611 Friday night to pace UC's highest attack percentage as a team so far this season. On Sunday, she bettered her kill total, finishing with 26, including 11 in the first set. She once again hit above .500 in the match, ending at .564.
Thompson also earned National Player of the Week honors on September 4th and October 16th. She is a two-time Sports Imports/American Volleyball Coaches Association National Player of the Week honoree this season.
