CINCINNATI – Ty Gingerich (Russiaville, Ind./Guerin Catholic High School) and Cole Harris (Carmel, Ind./Carmel High School) have signed national letters of intent to attend the University of Cincinnati and play golf for the Bearcats beginning with the 2019-2020 season, head coach Doug Martin announced.

Gingerich tied for third place at the 2018 IHSAA Boys State Finals in June, carding a 2-over 146. He also advanced to the semifinals of the match play portion of the Boys State Junior Championship later that same month.

Harris helped guide Carmel High School to the 2018 IHSAA team title. He tied for 15th place at the event, carding a 6-over 150. Harris also tied for sixth at the 2018 Southern Junior Masters and qualified for the 2018 U.S. Amateur but didn't advance to match play.

"We are very excited to welcome Ty Gingerich and Cole Harris and to our Bearcats family," Martin said. "As we continue to strengthen our program, these two bring very successful junior and high school careers to our program. Both players have excelled in the classroom as well. I see both players playing significant roles in our program during their careers. We look forward to watching them grow each year."
