// POSTSEASON PERSPECTIVE
UCF has wrapped up the American Athletic Conference title and ranks No. 21 in the national polls and is tenth in RPI
• UC is right behind in the standings in second place in the AAC at 13-3 (23-7 overall) and moved up to No. 23 in the RPI rankings
• The Bearcats were the first AAC team to earn an at-large selection to the NCAA Tournament back in 2016
• That season, the team was 21-9 overall heading into the last regular season match
• UC hosts one of the top players in the country as Jordan Thompson has lead the nation in kills, points, kills per set and points per set ever since the second week of the season
• Thompson is averaging almost one kill per set more (6.26) than the next closest player, Lindsey Ruddins (5.37) who led the nation in that category at the end of last season
• When looking at totals, Thompson leads with 770 kills and 851 points, with the second-place person totaling 573 kills and 627 points
• If Thompson's stats stand, it will be the most kills per set since 2006 and total kills since 2004
• The 2018 NCAA selection show will air on ESPNU on Sunday, November 25 at 8:30 p.m.
• 64 teams make the tournament with 32 receiving automatic qualification and the other half earning at-large bids
• The first and second rounds of competition begins at 16 pre-determined campus sites in single-elimination action. Those rounds are held Thursday, November 29 through Saturday, December 1

// FINISHING AT HOME
• The Bearcats play five of their last seven games of the season at home in the new Fifth Third Arena
• UC posted two 3-0 sweeps in the opening weekend of Fifth Third with wins over Wichita State and Tulsa then beat Tulane and Memphis this past weekend
• The team is 4-0 and has won 12 of 14 sets played in the new arena

// KNOW THE FOE: ECU
The Pirates are 13-15 overall and 5-12 in conference play, currently sitting in ninth place in the AAC standings. ECU's conference victories came against Houston, against SMU, at UConn, at Temple and home against Memphis. All five matches went to four set except the most recent win over Memphis which was a sweep.

// SERIES HISTORY: BEARCATS vs. PIRATES
