University of Cincinnati baseball Head Coach Scott Googins has announced the schedule for the 2019 season.

The Bearcats will once again face top national opponents, including many in-conference foes as the American Athletic Conference sits in the top five in RPI nationally through the last few seasons. UC will host 26 games at home at Marge Schott Stadium. Home highlights include hosting the annual Joe Nuxhall Classic and hosting Louisville, who the Bearcats beat the last time the Cardinals visited Cincinnati when they were the No. 1 team in the nation.

The 2019 season will begin in Boca Raton, Florida, on February 15. The team will play a three-game series against Florida Atlantic. The following weekend, February 22-24, the Bearcats will travel for three games at Houston Baptist. Midweek baseball begins early as UC travels to Indiana on February 26. The early season road swing wraps up with a weekend series at Auburn March 1-3.

UC hosts Bowling Green in its home-opener on Friday, March 8 to begin an eight-game homestand. After the three-game series with the Falcons, the Bearcats welcome Wright State on March 12 and Indiana on March 13. The homestand ends with a weekend series against Niagara march 15-17.

A midweek trip up to Wright State on March 19 will prep UC for conference play that is set to begin at USF March 22-24. The first AAC series at Marge Schott Stadium will be the following weekend, March 29-31, against Tulane.

The Bearcats travel to Columbus on April 3 to take on Ohio State before resuming conference play at UConn April 5-7. The annual Joe Nuxhall Classic will be held April 9-10 at Marge Schott Stadium. The annual event features UC, Xavier, Wright State and Miami in a regional rivalry in honor of its namesake, legendary Reds player and announcer Joe Nuxhall.

UC remains home after the classic to host UCF April 12-14 then will welcome Miami on April 16. The team then hits the road for a series at Houston April 18-20. Another eight-game homestand begins April 23 against Louisville and April 24 against Eastern Kentucky. AAC play resumes with a series with Wichita State April 26-28 and ECU May 3-5.

The last true regular season road trip starts with a midweek game at Miami on May 7 then ends with a three-game series at Memphis May 10-12. The regular season ends with four non-conference matchups. The Bearcats will host NKU at 11 a.m. on May 14. Then, a three-game series with Xavier will see the two teams face off May 16 at Marge Schott Stadium, May 17 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, and May 18 at Hayden Field.
The 2019 AAC Tournament will once again be played in Clearwater, Florida, and is set for May 21-26. The tournament champion and other at-large selections will move on to NCAA postseason play with Regionals held May 30-June 2. Super Regionals will take place at campus sites June 6-9. The 2019 College World Series will happen June 15-26 in Omaha, Nebraska.
