PROVIDENCE, R.I. - University of Cincinnati senior high jumper Loretta Blaut (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) earned her second-straight American Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field weekly award of the 2019 season, the league office announced Tuesday.

Blaut, the AAC women's field athlete of the week, continues to shine for the Bearcats, as the senior high jumper cleared 1.81 meters (5-11.25) for the fourth-best jump in the nation last week at the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky. A four-time American champion and two-time national runner-up, Blaut holds the top two jumps in the conference this season (1.82m and 1.81m) in her first two meets. She ranks among the Top-4 jumpers in the nation and was the top collegiate finisher in her event at UK, placing second behind a professional competing unattached.

Last year, Blaut was twice honored as the women's field athlete of the week as she earned the indoor accolade February 6 and the outdoor honor April 3. She also was twice named the AAC Most Outstanding Performance Award winner for women's field competitors at both AAC Championship events in 2018.

The Bearcats return to the track this weekend, splitting up to compete at the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana and Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee on Jan. 18-19, 2019.
