The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced its Scholar All-America teams for the fall 2018 semester with both the University of Cincinnati's men's and women's teams earning recognition once again.
The CSCAA handed out the distinction to a record 713 teams across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA divisions. To qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
On the women's side, the Bearcats achieved the highest GPA in the American Athletic Conference. UC's men tied for the second-highest. The success in the classroom mirrors the success in the pool as UC's women currently rank second and the men first in the collegeswimming.com conference rankings. The Bearcats' men won the AAC Championship last season while the women were runner-up.
