Bearcats Trio Honored by OCSA for Athletic, Academic Achievements

The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) has announced its 2018 awards with three members of the University of Cincinnati women's soccer team earning recognition from the association, including Jill Vetere, who earned both athletic and academic honors.

CINCINNATI - The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) has announced its 2018 awards with three members of the University of Cincinnati women's soccer team earning recognition from the association, including Jill Vetere, who earned both athletic and academic honors.

Athletically, both Vetere and Vanessa DiNardo were selected as OCSA All-Ohio Second Team honorees, marking the first time either woman has been honored. Their selections are the 45th and 46th, respectively, for UC since 1999 and also makes them the 29th and 30th different players, respectively, to be honored. Their selections give UC at least two athletic honorees in the same season for the fourth year in a row.

On the academic side of things, Vetere and Madison Less were named OCSA Academic All-Ohio with each earning her first recognition for the award. Their selections mark the third year in a row that at least two Bearcats have been honor academically by the OCSA as well.
