University of Cincinnati swimming and diving has back-to-back dual meets this weekend as the Bearcats travel to Kenyon Friday night then host Northwestern for Senior Day on Saturday at the Keating Aquatic Center. Friday's meet begins at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, diving starts at 10 a.m. with swimming at 1 p.m. The Senior Day ceremony will take place prior to swimming starting.
// DIVER OF THE WEEK
• Claire Schuermann was named the American Athletic Conference women's diver of the week on Tuesday for her performance in last weekend's quad meet at Virginia Tech
• She scored a 285.10 on 1-meter and 283.00 on 3-meter to earn the accolade
• It was the second time Schuermann won the conference's weekly award as she also was named so after recording two NCAA Zone marks to start the 2018-19 season
// ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS
• The Bearcats continue to set high marks in the classroom
• In the fall, the women's team posted the highest cumulative team GPA in the American Athletic Conference
• The men's fall GPA was tied for the second-best in the AAC
• In the pool, the men currently sit in first and the women second in the conference according to the collegeswimming.com rankings
// SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
• Kenyon is 2-3 in dual meets this year, beating Ohio Northern and Oberlin but losing to Michigan State, Denison and Oakland
• Last season the Bearcats finished out the regular schedule at home against Kenyon with the men winning 219-81 and the women 213-87
• Northwestern's men have won two dual meets while dropping two
• The women have won four while losing two
• Northwestern will travel to Louisville on Friday before making the trip to Cincinnati

• The Bearcats started the spring semester with a big win over Xavier at the Keating Aquatic Center
• The men won 222.50-71.50 while the women won 209.50-84.50
• UC won 23 events in the meet with seven race sweeps
