LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Bearcats women's tennis team fell to the Louisville Cardinals 5-2 on Sunday evening in Louisville. The match started off in the Bearcats favor as they once again took the doubles point, marking the third straight match they've done so. The Cardinals quickly rallied, taking the first three singles points. The Bearcats would not go away easily as they responded with a win at the #5 court. The #1 and #6 courts both went to three sets as the Cardinals took the first before the Bearcats rallied to take the second set on both. // COACH TOTH ON THE BEARCATS
"A very good effort by our girls today. We battled a very good Louisville team to the end. Our energy level and overall approach to today's match was much better than last night. We still need to collectively play better to earn wins against the tougher teams on our schedule. We work to get better this week starting Tuesday to be ready for Toledo next weekend."
