CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati sprinter Quincy Mitchell (Hanahan, S.C./Hanahan) was named the American Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Mitchell, a freshman, placed second in the 60m at the Buckeye Tune-Up on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, with a scorching time of 6.75, a PR and the No. 2 time in UC history. That time ranks No. 5 on the American's performance lists this season. Mitchell started off strong in the preliminaries with a PR of 6.88 which sat as the No. 9 run in UC history.

UC will head to Birmingham, Alabama, for the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019.
