BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – University of Cincinnati baseball fell 7-1 at Indiana on Tuesday in the team's first midweek game of the season.
 
// NOTABLES
Jeremy Johnson went 2-for-4 at the plate and added in a stolen base
Dondrae Bremner was 1-for-3 with a double and scored UC's sole run. He was also robbed of an extra-base hit when Indiana's center fielder made a sliding catch to the wall for an out
Drake Batcho was tagged with the loss after going 2.1 innings in the start with three runs, three hits, five walks and two strikeouts
Nathan Moore pitched 2.0 solid innings in relief with no runs, one hit, one walk and three strikeouts
Chase Stewart also looked sharp. He followed Moore with 2.0 frames, walking two and striking out two while not giving up a hit
Korren Thompson threw the final inning and faced the minimum

Bottom of the 1st
Batcho started his day on the mound with two strikes but gave up a leadoff homerun. Indiana then put two runners on, but a double play ended the inning
Top of the 2nd
• Bremner led off with a four-pitch walk, stole second and scored on a RBI single up the middle by Cole Murphy
Bottom of the 3rd
• The game did not stay tied long as Indiana posted a four-run frame. It started with a walk and single and a double to left center cleared the bases. Two more runs came in on a homerun to left during the next at-bat
Bottom of the 8th
• The Hoosiers were handed the last two runs of the game. After two walks, an error allowed a run to score and put runners on the corners. The next batter hit into a double play, but the runner on third came home to make it a 7-1 game
