INDIANAPOLIS – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving got out to a strong start at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Championships on Wednesday.
 
Highlights of the night included a repeat championship for the quartet of Justin Crew, Alex Fortman, Toby Van Dyke and Din Selmanovic in the 800 free relay. UC's men also set a relay record, breaking the school's best time in the 200 medley relay thanks to swims by Blake Hanna, Dominic Polling, Alberto Garcia and Kevin McCaffrey. Both Claire Schuermann and Louis Hunt made the podium in diving, placing third in their respective events.

• Hunt: 3rd place in 3-meter diving (307.15)
• Crew, Fortman, Van Dyke, Selmanovic: 800 free relay (6:25.27)
