The 54-event hosted by Michigan State at the Colleton River Club (Par 72, 7,196 yards) boasts a 14-team field, including seven squads ranked in the latest GolfStat Top 100 rankings.

The Bearcats tied for second place at the event last year, carding a 29-over 893 team score. Austin Squires (second place at even par 216) and Andy Mayhew (third place at 1-over 217) each finished inside the Top 5 individually.

Cincinnati started the spring season last week, finishing 10th at the Seminole Intercollegiate at 15-over 282-295-302=879. Senior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle High School) carded the best 36 holes of his college career, posting a 9-under 66-69=135 to grab the lead after the first day. He finished the event tied for third at 6-under 210. The result marked the eighth career Top 5 finish for Squires and his second of 2018-19. He tied for third with a 5-under 211 at the Rod Myers Invitational on Sept. 9 to start the fall season.
