University of Cincinnati baseball will host its first games of the 2019 season at Marge Schott Stadium this weekend when Bowling Green visits for a three-game series.
 
With inclement weather in the area, games are now scheduled for a double header on Sunday, March 10 beginning at 1 p.m. and Monday, March 11 at 2 p.m. Any single game tickets for the regularly-scheduled dates will be honored for any of the three games on Sunday or Monday. Also, fans who have a ticket to Sunday's men's basketball game at Fifth Third Arena will receive admission to Sunday's baseball double header.
 
With the men's basketball home game tipping off at noon, parking for Sunday's baseball game will be in the Woodside or Campus Green garage for $10.
 
// PROMOTIONS
• The new beer garden with craft selections will be open on Sunday
• The first 500 fans through the gates on Sunday will receive a retro coaster courtesy of Formica
• On Monday, there will be a water bottle giveaway to the first 250 fans

// SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Bowling Green is 2-7 this season and finished 11-39 overall in 2018
• The Falcons lost 5-2 at Belmont to start a series last weekend then split a double header, losing 12-3 and winning 1-0
• Prior to that, BGSU played three-game series on the road at Richmond and Middle Tennessee State
• Cincinnati leads Bowling Green 11-30 all-time
• The two teams last met in Cincinnati in 2008 with the Falcons winning 9-3
• The previous meeting was in 1998 when the Bearcats won on the road 6-3
• The first recorded meeting between the two teams with a UC victory at home in 1963
 
// NEW AMENITIES AT MARGE SCHOTT
• The Bearcats are now offering new ways to watch all home games played at Marge Schott Stadium
• The Overlook Bar located in the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena is available for $375 per game. It includes 25 tickets, a full cash bar, option of catering through Corry Street Catering and TVs with the BearcatsTV game feed
• Fans can also watch from the suite located in the press box level of the stadium. It is available for $300 per game and includes 15 tickets, the ability to have outside or catered food and the option to purchase alcohol

After leading the nation in double plays in 2018, the UC defense continues to look sharp in 2019
• The team ranks 17th in the nation in double plays per game entering the weekend
• The Bearcats also rank 17th nationally in fielding percentage, leading the conference at a percentage of .983
Jace Mercer at second base and Cole Murphy at first base have each been a part of nine of the eleven double plays UC has turned this season

// THE HOMESTAND CONTINUES
• Sunday's double header starts an eight-game home stand for the Bearcats
• After finishing the series with Bowling Green on Monday, UC hosts Wright State on Tuesday and Indiana on Wednesday, both games at 4 p.m.
• The following weekend will be a home series with Niagara with games set for Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon
 
// TICKETS AVAILABLE
• Season tickets for all 27 home games this season are available by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX, logging on to GoBearcats.com or by visiting the ticket office located at Richard E. Lindner Center in Varsity Village
• Tickets are only $50 for adults and $30 for seniors (65 and older) and youth (aged 4-12)
• UC students receive free admission to all games with a valid ID
• Single game tickets are also on sale for all games set to be played at Marge Schott Stadium this season
• A flex plan option is available, allowing fans to purchase ten undated vouchers for $35
