University of Cincinnati baseball closes out its current homestand with a three-game series versus Niagara this weekend. Game times are set for Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon.

• Wyatt Stapp was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly Honor Roll on Monday after a big performance in Sunday's doubleheader
• He led UC to two victories by hitting the walk-off single in game one and then smacking a double and a game-tying two-run homerun in game two
• Garrett Schoenle shifted the success to the mound on Monday with a career day
• He started the day by getting a ground ball back to the mound then struck out the next eight batters
• Schoenle totaled a career-high nine strikeouts in the start, going 6.0 innings with one run, three hits and two walks
• Fellow second-year teammate Dondrae Bremner had the big bat on Wednesday
• He dug in with bases loaded and two outs and cleared the bases to give UC the lead against Indiana
• When the game became tied, Bremner won it for the Bearcats by hitting his first career homerun, a two-run shot to right field
• With two triples earlier in the homestand, Bremner has a .929 slugging percentage through the last five games

• After leading the nation in double plays in 2018, the UC defense continues to look sharp in 2019
• The team ranks 18th in double plays with 15 and 24th in double plays per game in the nation
• The Bearcats' fielding percentage sits ninth nationally
• Jace Mercer at second base has contributed to 13 twin-killers
• Cole Murphy and Eric Santiago have help complete nine and seven, respectively
