INDIANAPOLIS – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving had a huge third day at the American Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, breaking five school records and reaching the podium in multiple events.
Lina Kutsko started off the big night with a record swim of 53.00 in the 100 fly, finishing second. In the next event, Din Selmanovic continued his spree of rewriting the UC record book with a gold-medal 1:35.86 time in the 200 free. Dominic Polling bettered his prelim record time with a 52.98 second-place finish in the 100 breast. Joey Puglessi kept the records coming with a third-place, 48.03 time in the 100 back. To end the night, UC's men won the 400 medley relay, shattering the school record by reaching the wall in 3:11.81. The relay was swam by Puglessi, Polling, Alberto Garcia and Alex Fortman.
