University of Cincinnati senior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle High School) recorded his sixth Top 12 finish in 2018-19 Sunday, carding a 2-over par 70-72-73=215 to tie for 11th place at the Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, S.C.
Squires got off to solid start, recording a trio of birdies to move to 3-under through seven holes. A double bogey three holes later and three bogeys over his final six holes led to his 2-over 73 Sunday.
The finish marks Squires' fourth Top 12 finish on the spring season.
Furman's Keller Harper claimed individual medalist honors, completing the event at 8-under 70-63-72=205.
The Bearcats finished 13th in the team standings at 41-over 300-295-298=893. Coastal Carolina held on to take the crown, finishing at 7-under 282-279-284=845.
UC sophomore Nicolas Osterburg (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian High School) finished tied for 58th at 11-over 75-73-76=224 as did freshman Sean Jean (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove High School) at 77-73-74=224. Sophomore Clay Amlung (Louisville, Ky./Saint Xavier High School) tied for 93rd at 17-over 78-77-75=230. Redshirt-freshman Mason Lenhart (Prospect, Ky./North Oldham High School) finished 109th at 79-77-79=235.
