CINCINNATI – It looked to be a back-and-forth affair all night at Marge Schott Stadium between University of Cincinnati baseball and NKU, but an eight-run eighth inning by the Bearcats lifted them to a 14-6 victory.

The rally really started in the top of the eighth.  The Norse had bases loaded in a tied ballgame and Nathan Moore entered the game for UC on the mound to get a full-count swinging strikeout to keep the contest tied at six. The eight-run frame was started with a no-doubt three-run homerun by A.J. Bumpass, who has now homered in three of the last four games.
