University of Cincinnati senior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle High School) carded a 1-over par 73 Tuesday to finish tied for 10th at even par 70-73-73=216 at the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, S.C. As a team, the Bearcats posted a 7-over 295 to finish 11th at 22-over 302-289-295=886.

Squires climbed up four places on the final day, recording a pair of birdies with three bogies and 13 par scores. It marks his second Top 10 finish in as many tournaments this spring and his sixth Top 20 finish in 2018-19.  

Sophomore Nicolas Osterburg (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian High School) finished second among the Bearcats, tying for 35th place at 7-over 75-72-76=223. Freshman Sam Jean (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove High School) improved 11 places Tuesday to tie for 47th at 9-over 77-75-73=225. Redshirt sophomore Andy Mayhew (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood High School) jumped nine places to tie for 53rd place at 10-over 80-73-73=226. Redshirt freshman Mason Lenhart (Prospect, Ky./North Oldham High School) tied for 82nd place at 27-over 86-71-86=243. 

UC freshman Clay Amlung (Louisville, Ky./Saint Xavier High School) played the event as an individual, tying for 53rd place at 10-over 77-71-78=226.

Michigan State's Donnie Trosper won individual medalist honors, carding a 10-under 69-67-70=206. Michigan State won the team crown in the 14-team field at 12-under 282-281-289=852.

"Today was another tough day. We continue to struggle with unforced errors. We have no excuse other than we need to correct our mistakes. Execution is also an issue. We have 9-10 days to correct this before we head out again. I am pleased with the effort, we just need to get some momentum again, similar to what we had in the fall semester."
